The Social Conversation between former senior government officials and young individuals serving in the government was jointly organized by INCITEGov, FSGO, and YPS held last Tuesday, 1 February 2011, at the Richmonde Hotel.

The activity aims to be the beginning of a fruitful partnership between young crossovers and our former senior government officials, for good governance and governance reforms. INCITEGov, YPS and FSGO continues to organize activities that foster dialogues and learnings for young public servants in and out of government.

The Social Conversation: On Crossing Over was an informal get together, the first of its kind for young people who have chosen to work for reform either by joining government or by remaining in civil society and the private sector. YPS together with the Ateneo Development Studies Program and CODE NGO was able to establish ties and support between groups of young people that would help inspire each other’s work and at the same time serve as a pooling of young people, ideas and voices for good governance. There were many stories shared among peers mostly about the lack of sleep and the challenges that young reformists face.
