The WhyNot? Forum is inspired by TEDTalks (www.ted.com), wherein leading thinkers and doers all around the world share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences, which are then posted as online videos for all the world to see. We envision The Why Not? Forum to be the Filipino version. After all, we believe that there is no shortage of great Filipinos whose stories, passions, and ideas have to be shared with the rest of the world.

www.MyStreetPhilippines.Com or MyStreet is designed to be a mapping and monitoring tool of the delivery of public goods and services. The aim is to make available information on projects and services for citizen information, monitoring and tracking in the level of the community. MyStreet uses the Millennium Development Goals as a baseline for the minimum deliverables of the government to its citizens and for measuring good governance.

MyStreet is built on a GPS-exact map where groups can report about their local community and be able to ‘tag’ its geolocational point. It has a social-networking module that allows for the communication between user and groups participating on mystreetwhere groups can send announcements about these projects to users/members of MyStreet residing in the community. The social networking module also allows for user feedback and comments about each project reported.

The Young Public Servants (YPS) group of the International Center for Innovation Tranformation and Excellence in Governance hosted a social conversation on Rediscovering Heroism last August 21,2007 at the Filipinas Heritage Library in Makati City. The forum, which aimed to find out creative ways of loving the country, was a timely celebration of Ninoy Aquino's death and his heroism. The panelists include Ditsi Carolino, multi-awarded independent film maker of Bunso and Riles;Maj. Dennis Eclarin, outstanding soldier and social entrepreneur; andAtty. Alex Lacson, inspiring author of the book "12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do to Help Our Country".

The social conversation was attended by over 80 participants from diverse backgrounds including young professionals in business, NGO's, corporate foundations, schools, government, media and military. The event was also coorganized by Youth Alliance Philippines together with Starfish Magazine and the Youth Leadership Development unit of the Ayala Foundation.
