STATEMENT OF SUPPORT FOR MR. JUN LOZADA

We, the members of the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO), commend and thank Mr. Rodolfo Noel "Jun" Lozada, Jr. for his courage to tell the public what he knows about the ZTE deal.
We are committed to support and protect Mr. Lozada and his family, who have now accepted the risks involved in further shedding light on the ZTE corruption controversy.
We condemn the evil motives and actions of people who have been attempting to suppress the truth and warn them of the consequences of their actions.
We are resolved to mobilize the citizenry for peaceful and concerted mass actions if crucial witnesses such as Mr. Lozada are prevented from telling the truth.
As we urge our Senators to conduct the investigation with impartiality and haste, we also call on the public to be more vigilant during the course of the Senate inquiry.
Finally, we call on all branches of government to prosecute with speed and commitment those who have been found to have violated the laws, thereby proving to the Filipino people that there is truly a rule of law, rather than a selective application of the law.
